MANCHESTER – Police are on the scene of a possible stabbing at 478 Lake Ave., Monday morning, with the driveway of a home cordoned off with police tape.

Manchester Police spokesman Brian O'Keefe said police are actively investigating a "possible stabbing" at the location.

According to a statement from police, several patrol units responded to the area just before 8 a.m. for a reported assault/possible stabbing. The 22-year-old victim was taken to the Elliot Hospital for his undisclosed wounds received as a result of an assault, according to O'Keefe. Detectives responded to the scene to investigate further.

Six Manchester police cruisers were at the location shortly after 8 a.m., and six police officers were in the driveway of the single family home.
