Search under way for trio in Somersworth attempted armed robbery

SOMERSWORTH – Police continue to look for three men who forced their way into a downtown apartment and attempted to rob an occupant at gun point Monday afternoon.

Police responded to 117A Main St. around 12:15 p.m. after the men tried to force their way into an apartment. They did not get inside, and police said they fled on foot.
Police say their evidence suggests this was not a random attack, and the general public is not at danger.
The men wore some type of covering over their faces and had on dark clothing.
Somersworth officers are investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made. Those with information are asked to call Somersworth police at 692-3131 or Crimeline at 692-9111.
