Retired Men’s Assoc. forum on ServiceLink

MANCHESTER — The Retired Men’s Association will present the services provided by ServiceLink at its March 18 meeting.

Servicelink is a statewide network of community-based organizations. ServiceLink provides connections to recourses for seniors, adults living with disabilities or chronic illnesses, their families and caregivers.

The main focus of this presentation is to review the Medicare changes that beneficiaries and their families are faced with. The speaker, Michelle Magarian, is the Medicare coordinator for the Hillsborough County ServiceLink office.

The association meets monthly with a social hour and refreshments at 10:30 a.m. followed by the guest speaker from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meetings are held at Catholic Medical Center’s Community Health Services Conference Room, located on the lower level floor at 195 McGregor St. across the street from Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. It is free and open to all interested men.

RiverWoods hosts free real estate forecast lunch

EXETER — RiverWoods at Exeter, an independent retirement community, will host a free luncheon presentation, “2014 Real Estate Forecast: Top Trends to Watch in 2014,” featuring Alan DeStefano, president of the N.H. Association of Realtors.

The program is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at RiverWoods’ The Woods campus, 7 RiverWoods Drive.

The presentation will address questions such as: When is the best time to sell a home? What does the future for housing look like? What should be done to get the best return on a home?

Grafton County senior council meeting April 7

LEBANON — Grafton County Senior Citizens Council will hold its annual meeting April 7 at the Upper Valley Senior Center with an 11:45 a.m. lunch and 12:30 p.m. meeting.

Kathleen Otte, a national expert on aging, is the keynote speaker. Make reservations by noon, March 21 to Kelly Bergeron at 448-4213 ext. 110.

Through eight senior centers, sponsorship of ServiceLink Resource Center of Grafton County and RSVP & The Volunteer Center, the council promotes, develops and carries out a range of community-based long term care programs. Its programs and services help older adults to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible.
