NHGOP: Rand Paul wins straw poll

Rand Paul won an informal straw poll of presidential contenders. Paul received 14.7 percent of the vote to lead a field of 11 potential presidential candidates. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie came in second with 12.9 percent, according to results provided by the NHGOP.

In a three-way tie for third, with 11.1 percent each, were Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Santorum and Dr. Ben Carson, a frequent critic of Obamacare.

Rounding out the field were Jindal, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin and former U.S. Ambassador John Bolton.
