Man arrested in Nashua market robbery

NASHUA - A city man is under arrest, accused of robbing the Lake Street Market last Friday.

Thomas Smith, 32, last known address of 11A Salem St., was picked up just after midnight Tuesday on an electronic bench warrant. He was later charged with one count of armed robbery, a class A felony.

Police said he was the man who entered the store just after 5 p.m. on Friday and demanded cash, indicated he was armed with a weapon.

Several patrol officers recognized him from the store's video surveillance, police said.
