Inter-Lakes school voters pass articles, add custodian
MEREDITH — Inter-Lakes School District voters passed all warrant articles before them and also added money to the budget at the district’s annual meeting Wednesday night.
Residents of the district passed a $21,992,133 budget, an amount which includes all warrant articles, school officials said.
Before the night was through, voters decided to add a custodial position that had been cut from the budget. They voted a $50,000 allocation to pay for salary and benefits for the position.
Voters approved the collective bargaining agreement reached between the Inter-Lakes School Board and the Inter-Lakes Support Staff Association which will give an estimated increase of $46,117 in 2014-2015, $47,619 for 2015-2016, and $51,460 for 2016-2017.
