Rochester pedestrian, 18, struck, suffers minor injuries

ROCHESTER — An 18-year-old was sent to the hospital after a car hit her while using a crosswalk along Route 125 on Monday.

Police, firefighters and emergency personnel responded at 12:51 p.m. after a southbound 2003 Dodge Stratus, driven by Debby Richardson, 46, of Ossipee, struck Aris Patrakis, 18, of East Rochester, while she crossed Wakefield Street, Route 125, near the school.

Patrakis was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Richardson was issued a warning for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

The Stratus sustained minor damaged, and Wakefield Street was closed for about 15 minutes following the accident.
