Merrimack man accused of stabbing teen on Saturday arrested in Manchester

MERRIMACK — Manchester police arrested a man Sunday afternoon in connection with a stabbing in Merrimack.

Merrimack police Sgt. Dennis Foley said Dean Janggen, 20, was arrested on a warrant at the Subway restaurant on Elm Street in Manchester around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, in connection with an assault that took place near the London Court area of Merrimack Saturday night.

Janggen allegedly stabbed a male teenager and fled the scene, in the area of Front and Center streets. Foley said the teenager suffered a non-life threatening stab wound to his chest area. He was treated and released from a Nashua-area hospital.

Foley was arrested without incident in Manchester, and transported to Merrimack, where he was charged with first- and second-degree assault. On Sunday night, Foley said bail conditions and an arraignment date on the charges had yet to be determined.
