Gonic man gets 4 years over heroin
A New Hampshire man will serve four years in federal prison for distributing 10 to 20 grams of heroin on a nearly daily basis to customers in Maine and southern New Hampshire from late 2012 through early 2013.
U.S. District Court Judge George Z. Singal sentenced Derek Parker, 30, of Gonic, in U.S. District Court in Portland, Maine, Thursday to four years imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute heroin.
Parker pleaded guilty to the charge Nov. 13.
Parker was indicted last April 24 with 13 others on heroin conspiracy charges.
The case was the result of federal, local, county and state investigators working across two states and included the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force.
