Brentwood police to view surveillance video in school bus fire probe

BRENTWOOD — Police are working to obtain surveillance video from the property of a local school bus transportation company as part of the investigation into a bus fire Friday night.

Detective Sgt. Randall Frotton said Monday the video could help determine if any criminal activity occurred before one of the mini school buses parked at Provider Enterprises LLC went up in flames.

The fire broke out shortly before 9:30 p.m. inside one of the buses parked in the back of the bus company’s parking lot at its facility on Pine Road.

The fire quickly spread to another bus and also damaged a third.

Fire Chief Kevin Lemoine has said the fire is believed to be suspicious.

A worker at the bus company said everyone had left the facility by 5:30 p.m. and that the bus was not taken out on the road that day.
