Greenville man accused of robbing New Ipswich bank, arrested in Mass.

NEW IPSWICH — A Greenville man accused of robbing a local bank last week was arrested by police in Massachusetts on Saturday morning.

Eric Lord, 43, of Greenville, was arrested by Massachusetts State Police in a commercial building in Leominster around 2 a.m. on Saturday, according to a press statement from police.

On Friday, just before 2 p.m., Lord allegedly entered a TD Bank in New Ipswich, passed a note to a teller stating that he had a gun, and demanded cash, according to New Ipswich police. He then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. Using the surveillance video from the bank, police were able to identify Lord as the suspect and an arrest warrant was obtained by New Ipswich police.

Working on information that Lord was planning to commit another robbery on Saturday night, law enforcement officers, including detectives and troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, and police departments in Leominster and Fitchburg, Mass., worked to track Lord down.

He was arrested without incident and is being held without bail in Massachusetts pending his arraignment in Leominster District Court on Monday.

Lord is expected to be extradited to New Hampshire following the arraignment
