Bomb threat called into Manchester middle school
MANCHESTER - Parkside Middle School students got an extended break Friday morning when someone called in a bomb threat to the school located on the city's West Side.
Police said the threat was called in about 9:45 a.m. and the building was evacuated, with students and faculty going to the nearby Gossler School.
Precautionary measures were taken, even though authorities believed the threat was a hoax, because of the seriousness of any bomb threat, police said.
Sgt. Brian N. O'Keefe said the threat turned out to be a hoax and students and faculty were back to classes at Parkside before noon.
