WW II Journal: NH native recounts day his ship was hit by a kamikaze

Ray Daigle was in gun mount three of the USS Terror when the plane hit. The 17-year-old New Hampshire boy – who got most of his sleep inside that gun mount – was lucky he hadn’t been ambling the deck of the large minelayer.
