NH Boy Scouts to honor Dupreys of Concord, Easter Seals
The Concord couple will be honored as distinguished individuals while Easter Seals New Hampshire will be recognized as the distinguished corporate/non-profit citizen. The fundraising event is scheduled for the evening of June 17 at the Radisson/Center of New Hampshire in Manchester.
Both Dupreys have extensive records of service to civic and charitable organizations across New Hampshire.
Easter Seals of New Hampshire, based in Manchester, provides services to help people with disabilities or special needs and their families to have equal opportunities in their communities. Easter Seals employs and contracts with more than 1,400 people at 22 locations throughout the state.
He said the money raised — the fundraising goal is $160,000 — will benefit and enrich programs offered to more than 11,000 Scouts throughout the state.
Since its inception in 1929, the Daniel Webster Council has served thousands of youth in building character, citizenship, and personal fitness through Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Explorer post. In 2013, the council served 11,350 youth throughout New Hampshire in 509 chartered groups.
