NH Boy Scouts to honor Dupreys of Concord, Easter Seals

New Hampshire’s Boy Scouts will honor Steve and Susan Duprey at the Daniel Webster Council’s 41st Annual New Hampshire Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner this June.

The Concord couple will be honored as distinguished individuals while Easter Seals New Hampshire will be recognized as the distinguished corporate/non-profit citizen. The fundraising event is scheduled for the evening of June 17 at the Radisson/Center of New Hampshire in Manchester.

Steve and Susan Duprey are well-known within several spheres of business and volunteer activities. Steve Duprey is president of Foxfire Property Management in Concord and is active at the state and national level with the Republican Party.

Susan Duprey, a lawyer, is a shareholder at Devine, Millimet & Branch, P.A. in Manchester.

Both Dupreys have extensive records of service to civic and charitable organizations across New Hampshire.

Easter Seals of New Hampshire, based in Manchester, provides services to help people with disabilities or special needs and their families to have equal opportunities in their communities. Easter Seals employs and contracts with more than 1,400 people at 22 locations throughout the state.

This year’s dinner chairman is Jim Merrill, state director for the Bernstein Shur Group.

He said the money raised — the fundraising goal is $160,000 — will benefit and enrich programs offered to more than 11,000 Scouts throughout the state.

Since its inception in 1929, the Daniel Webster Council has served thousands of youth in building character, citizenship, and personal fitness through Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Explorer post. In 2013, the council served 11,350 youth throughout New Hampshire in 509 chartered groups.
