Bullet found in hallway of Derry middle school

DERRY - A student apparently brought a bullet to West Running Brook Middle School on Thursday, according to Derry police.

The student brought the bullet to school and dropped it in the hallway and was later recovered by a staff member, Derry police Capt. Vern Thomas said Friday.

"There were no weapons there, no threat to student, staff safety and no lock-down," Thomas said. "No charges are forthcoming on anyone."

The incident was reported to police by the school, Thomas said. Because the student is a juvenile no further information is being released, Thomas said.
