Jazz All-State Music Festival ends with concert Saturday

Hosted by Pinkerton, the festival began Thursday and concludes today with a free public concert at 1 p.m. at the school’s Stockbridge Theatre.
“I’ve always loved music, and jazz has been one of my favorite things,” said Reynolds, who plays vibraphones in the Jazz All-State Honors Band.
“You can really express yourself and just do what you want to do,” Reynolds said.He draws inspiration from such jazz luminaries as vibraphonist Milt Jackson and saxophonist John Coltrane.
There are 108 student musicians participating in this year’s festival, which includes two bands and two choirs, Adams said.Performing at today’s concert will be the New Hampshire Jazz All-State Honors Band, the Jazz All-State Band, the Jazz All State Honors Choir, and the Jazz All-State Choir.
