Nashua boy, 1, suffers critical injury

NASHUA — A one-year-old child is in critical condition at a Manchester hospital, and city police are currently investigating what led to his injuries.

“He is currently in stable, but critical condition,” police said in a release.

The injured child was initially taken to a Nashua hospital around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, but he was eventually transported to a Manchester hospital for more intensive care, said police.

According to police, a family member brought the boy for medical help from an Ash Street residence.

Authorities are not elaborating on what type of injuries the child has sustained, but they are investigating to determine how he obtained the injuries.

“Detectives from the department’s Special Investigation Division are furthering the investigation, which is open and active,” said police.
