Strafford police urge area drivers to stay home

STRAFFORD – After a few vehicles drove into snowbanks or left the road Wednesday morning, police were encouraging everyone to stay off the roads if possible or take extra time to safely drive in the snow.

Schools, town offices and the recycling center are all closed Wednesday, but expect to be open for business after the storm passes.

The Town Clerk’s office plans to be open regular hours – from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Thursday and the recycling center is scheduled to be open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
