Man charged in three Laconia arsons

LACONIA - A Gilmanton man was arrested Tuesday on charges he started three fires, police said in a release.

Jason E. Clairmont, 37, is charged with three counts of arson on accusations he started a Sept. 4 fire that damaged a car in a parking garage, as well as two Jan. 25 fires at 91 Highland St. and 46 Academy St., police said.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Laconia Circuit Court.
