Woman hit, driver charged in Concord


CONCORD — A Concord driver who struck a pedestrian Wednesday is being accused of operating under the influence of prescription drugs.Police said the woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Concord Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

The driver was identified as Anthony Landry, 36, of Concord.

Landry was taken into custody for aggravated DWI due to the serious nature of the woman’s injuries, police said. He is scheduled to appear in the 6th Circuit Court in Concord on Feb. 10.

The accident occurred in the area of South Main Street and Fayette Street around 1:30 p.m.
