Health care network hires first president
A former executive with the Massachusetts Medicaid program has been hired to lead a new network of health care providers in the state.
Corbin Marie Petro was named president of ElevateHealth in an announcement on Thursday from the key partners — Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Elliot Health System and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
Petro comes to ElevateHealth from the Massachusetts Office of Medicaid, where as chief operating officer she directed operations for the $12.2 billion, 600-employee agency.
Previous to that, she worked as a consultant for Bain and Co., leading teams in conducting research, analysis, strategic and operational assessments and implementation of projects focusing on health care, private equity, technology and consumer products.
She holds a master of business administration degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of arts degree from Yale University.
Petro will work from Manchester and Wellesley, Mass.
