LANCASTER — Two Lancaster men have been hit with a combined total of 18 indictments for a burglary spree prosecutors say they went on last spring in Twin Mountain, a village in the town of Carroll.
A Coos County Superior Court grand jury has indicted William L. Jackson, 29, of 52 Middle St., and Michael Hicks, 30, of 134 Powder Hill, Apartment 4, on nine Class B burglary counts each, including two counts of burglary conspiracy.
Grand jurors charged Jackson additionally with being a felon in possession of a firearm, also a Class B felony, on May 30, 2013 — the same date listed in the indictments for the alleged burglaries — also in Twin Mountain.
The two are accused of “entering cabins” on Old Cherry Mountain Road… with intent to commit the crime of theft, according to the indictments.
They later disposed of stolen items that included a chain saw and guns, according to the burglary conspiracy indictments.
In other indictments the grand jury handed up during its January session in Lancaster:
• Brexton E. Boudle, 30, of 804 Titus Hill Road, Columbia, is charged with burglary and attempted burglary on Nov. 1, 2013, and Oct. 31, 2013, respectively, at the Colebrook Veterinary Clinic; and receiving stolen property on Nov. 1, 2013, drugs and paperwork that belonged to the clinic, according to the indictments.
At the time, Boudle was free on bail, according to the indictments, which list prior convictions for him for theft in 2003 and 2006, one a felony, the other a Class A misdemeanor.
The grand jury also indicted Boudle on two counts of violating the controlled drug act, both on Nov. 1, 2013, in Colebrook, for possession of pain medications butorphanel and buprenorphine.
• William Ploof, 54, of 281 N. State St., Concord, is charged with five counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault between Jan. 1, 1981, and Jan. 1, 1983, in Berlin against a boy who was 5-years-old and 7-years-old during that time.
The charges, according to the indictments, involve various sex acts, and are all special felonies.
