SNHU, St. Anselm, Franklin Pierce in key hoop games today

The top three teams in the Northeast-10 men’s basketball Northeast Division standings hail from the Granite State and all three are in action today.

Southern New Hampshire University is in third place at 8-5 in conference play and 10-6 overall, and is one of the hottest teams going with a five-game win streak. The Penmen will put that string on the line today at 3:30 p.m. when Le Moyne (7-3 NE10) visits the SNHU Fieldhouse.

First-place Franklin Pierce University (9-2 conference, 14-2 overall) hosts NE-10 Southwest Division leader Southern Connecticut (9-2 NE10, 15-2 overall) at 3:30 p.m.

Second-place St. Anselm (9-4 NE10, 11-6 overall) will play at fourth-place Bentley (7-5 NE10, 13-5 overall) today at 3:30 p.m.

Le Moyne enters today’s game at SNHU on a three-game winning streak of its own, including a 76-74 win over St. Anselm on Wednesday.

Franklin Pierce has won nine of its past 10 games and St. Anselm will attempt to get back on track after dropping two of its last three outings.
