Bishop Hirschfeld will visit church in Sanbornville

SANBORNVILLE — The Rt. Rev. A. Robert Hirschfeld, bishop of New Hampshire, will visit the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist on Sunday, Jan 26.

This is his first visit to St. John’s, according to an announcement from the church’s pastor, the Rev. Sue Poulin.

The bishop will attend the combined service at 9:30 a.m., with a luncheon and reception to follow.

The church is located at 118 High St., at the top of the hill at the junction of Wakefield Road. The parking lot is accessible from both High Street and Wakefield Road.

The bishop was elected “bishop coadjutor” of the Diocese of New Hampshire in January, 2013.

A graduate of Dartmouth College, the bishop has served parishes at Yale University, the University of Connecticut and in Massachusetts.

He is married to Polly Merritt Ingraham and they have three children, according to his biography on the diocese web site.
