Manchester police ask for help in locating stolen SUV

MANCHESTER — Police are asking for the public's help in locating a stolen silver Kia sport-utility vehicle that an officer tried to stop Wednesday morning during a brief chase.

Officer Robert Harrington tried to pull over the car around 8:40 a.m. near Elm Street and Queen City Avenue. The officer-in-charge, however, called off the pursuit almost immediately because of the time of day and the location, a heavily congested area of the city.

The car, which had Massachusetts license plates and was driven by a white male, was last seen heading east on Silver Street.

The driver’s side passenger window is broken.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call police at 668-8711.
