CONCORD - Rochester School Board Vice Chairman Anthony Pastelis was elected president of the New Hampshire School Boards Association for 2014, the organization said in a news release.

Pastelis said in a statement that he "is both humbled and proud to lead the association at such a critical time in public education in our state and nation."

Founded in 1946, the association represents more than 160 locally elected school boards in New Hampshire, which govern the more than 175 local school districts in the state.
