Escaped sex offender sought by U.S. Marshal

BRANDON SCOTT LEGERE

MANCHESTER – A registered sex offender who was serving part of a federal sentence for violations of supervised release, stemming from his original conviction and sentence for conspiracy to distribute cocaine, fled a local halfway house and is being sought by the U.S. Marshals N.H. Joint Fugitive Task Force.
Brandon Scott Legere, 32, who was living at Hampshire House, a federal halfway house on Elm Street in Manchester, fled Wednesday evening after he was confronted for violating rules.
Legere is required to register as a sex offender based on a prior conviction for felonious sexual assault on a child between the ages of 13 and 16, with an age difference of more than three years.

Legere was last seen running down Elm Street toward Orange Street, wearing a white T-shirt, jeans, and predominantly white sneakers.
He is described as a white male, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, with very short, shaved brown hair, brown eyes and a thin brown beard. He also has several tattoos, including one with the word "Loyalty" on his left forearm "Respect" on his right forearm, "Italian Pride" on his upper back, "RIP JML" with a cross on his mid-back, and "Thug Life" with a bullet hole on his chest. Also on his chest is a tattoo of an Italian family crest with the words "La Familia."
