Dover official: Next school head should earn more than $116,500 pay of veteran predecessor

Committee member Allan Krans said starting salaries for many recently hired superintendents are much higher than what Dover typically pays. He told the committee that the superintendent at Winnacunnet Cooperative School District was hired at $130,000. Timberlane Regional School District's superintendent was hired at $130,000. Neighboring Oyster River School District's superintendent Dr. James Morse was hired at $145,000, Krans said.
