Blizzard warning issued for coastal New Hampshire

A blizzard warning has been issued for coastal Rockingham County until 10 a.m. Friday.

The National Weather Service is expecting blizzard conditions to develop at times in coastal areas tonight into tomorrow morning.

Sustained north winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph are expected overnight with snow heavy at times. The blowing snow will reduce visibilities to a quarter-mile or less, the weather service said.

Wind chill values of 20 below zero will also create dangerous conditions.

Forecasters are calling for snow accumulations of 12 to 14 inches along the coast.

Coastal flood warnings have also been issued for minor to moderate flooding at the times of high tide.
