Woman arrested after Manchester crash
MANCHESTER — A city woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after she crashed head-on into a minivan with five people inside it at Bremer and Rimmon streets, according to authorities.
Police said Kerry Alice Untiet, 45, of 167 Youville St., also is suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run in Goffstown just prior to the crash.
The accident happened about 1:30 a.m. An officer was sent to the Biron Bridge after a hit-and-run accident was reported in nearby Goffstown. Officer Ryan White saw the suspected vehicle, a Buick SUV, traveling near Bremer and Youville streets with sparks coming out from the front passenger side tire. He stopped the vehicle, which had heavy front-end damage and deployed airbags.
Untiet was allegedly driving the SUV and, based on his observations, White arrested her for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor. She also was charged with conduct after an accident when investigators determined she was involved in the head-on crash with the minivan.
Police said the adults and children were all taken to local hospitals for evaluation, but there were no serious injuries.
Goffstown police continue to investigate the hit-and-run in their town.
