5 hurt in Pembroke crash

PEMBROKE — Five people were injured in a two-car accident Monday evening, according to Police Chief Dwayne Gilman.

Gilman said the accident happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. when a car turned left in front of another vehicle and was struck broadside. He said police do not believe speed or weather were factors in the crash.

“It may be operator error,” Gilman said. “We’re just trying to figure out which operator is at error.”

Gilman did not have the names of those involved in the accident Monday night. He said the five people were taken to Concord Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.
