Concord police charge homeless man in flare gun shooting

Police: Man arrested in flare gun shooting

CONCORD - A homeless man was arrested Saturday on charges he shot another man with a flare gun and brandished a knife, police said in a release.

rank Treecarten, 63, was found about 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Loudon and Fort Eddy roads holding a knife after having allegedly shot the other man who was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment of a head injury. Police said the injury was not life-threatening, but did not identify the victim.

Treecarten, who was charged with second-degree assault and falsifying physical evidence, will appear Monday in Concord District Court.
