Inmate reported missing from Manchester halfway house

MANCHESTER — State Corrections officers are looking for a minimum-security inmate who they say did not return to the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit after being allowed to leave the facility to look for a job.

Manuel Benjamin Rodriguez-Figueroa, 36, of Nashua, who is serving a two- to four-year sentence on robbery and drug charges, left the facility at 2:30 p.m. Friday and was supposed to return at 4:30 p.m., but didn't, according to a state Department of Corrections release.

He is described as Hispanic, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 187 pounds with brown eyes and dark hair. He has tattoos on his forearms, hands, upper right arm and chest.

Rodriguez-Figueroa was scheduled to be eligible for parole in March.

Anyone with information is asked to call a local police department or the state prison at 271-1801.
