The U.S. Marshals Service District of New Hampshire/Joint Fugitive Task Force has named James Michael Porter Jr. as New Hampshire's fugitive of the week.

Porter, who is 41 or 42, is wanted on warrants from U.S. District Court for escape. Porter was serving a sentence from a 2010 conviction for interstate transportation of stolen property when he left a Manchester halfway house where he was staying and did not return.He is described as 5-feet-6, 185 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has tattoos on his right arm, chest and back. He has extensive ties to family and friends in the Hudson area. The U.S. Marshals Service advises the public not to attempt to apprehend a fugitive, who should be considered armed and dangerous. Instead, report any information to the U.S. Marshals Service's Concord office at 225-1632.
