The much-anticipated boys' basketball matchup between Manchester Central and Trinity of Manchester may prove to be worth the wait, but the wait has become a little longer.
Central and Trinity were scheduled to open the Division I season against each other Tuesday night at Trinity's McHugh Gymnasium, but that was one of the many games statewide postponed by a snowy weather forecast. The Central-Trinity game was rescheduled and will be played tonight (6:30) at Trinity.
The Trinity and Central girls' basketball teams were also scheduled to meet Tuesday night, but that game was moved to tonight (6:30) at Central.
Manchester West and Manchester Memorial each had two athletic events postponed Tuesday. Memorial's boys' basketball game against Alvirne of Hudson was rescheduled to Jan. 10 and will be played in Manchester, and the Memorial-Alvirne girls' basketball game has not been rescheduled. That game was supposed to be played at Alvirne.
Both postponed events involving Manchester West have been rescheduled. The Con-Val of Peterborough at West ice hockey game will be played Thursday at 4:30 p.m.; and the Con-Val at West girls' basketball game was moved to Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
In addition, Derryfield of Manchester postponed two events. The Wilton-Lyndeborough at Derryfield girls' basketball game will be played tonight at 6:30, and the Derryfield at Wilton-Lyndeborough boys' game was moved to Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.
