Leclerc takes second place in men's hockey

In Manchester Forty-Plus Hockey League action, Leclerc State Farm Insurance took over second place with a 5-3 win against fourth place Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium. Phaneuf (2-6-1) had leads of 2-0 and 3-1 but Leclerc scored the game's final four goals to earn the win. Steve Smith scored twice for Leclerc (5-2-2). Also scoring were Glenn Ranfos, Dave Park and Roy Hull. Dave Miner tallied twice for Phaneuf. Kevin Ahern had Phaneuf's third goal. Dave Anstey had 28 saves for Leclerc and Jon Komarek had 31 for Phaneuf.

In the second game, Complete Team Outfitters.com and Atlas Precision Metal Fabricators entered the game tied for first with 5-2-1 records. CTO took over sole possession of first place with a 5-3 win, dropping Atlas to third behind LeClerc. Roger Lajeunesse led the way for CTO with a pair of goals. Mike Gibeault, Kevin Lewis and Jim Chaput also scored for CTO. Paul Kelley had two of Atlas's goals, Guy Montminy the other. Gerry Bergeron earned the win with 24 saves. Rocky Desrosiers had 25 for Atlas.
