Vermont man arrested for soliciting a prostitute on Craigslist

KEENE - A Vermont man who police say was expecting to meet a woman to engage in sex after he placed an advertisement on Craigslist instead was met by two police detectives who arrested him.
On Dec. 6 police received information through the anonymous tipline that Victor Muscat, 36, of Vermont Route 30, Newfane, had placed a graphic ad on Craigslist allegedly soliciting a prostitute.
Muscat is charged with a misdemeanor count of prostitution for allegedly soliciting a woman to perform a sex act on him for money.
He is free on $5,000 personal recognizance bail pending arraignment Jan. 17 in 8th Circuit Court, Keene District Division.
