N.H. ranks 49th among states for access to alcohol, drug treatments

Alcohol abuse costs New Hampshire $1.15 billion every year, according to Linda Saunders Paquette, executive director of New Futures, a nonprofit that advocates, educates and collaborates to prevent and reduce alcohol and drug abuse. Paquette says two-thirds of that cost is lost worker productivity.
