Cornish 'Hearse House' hit by burglars

CORNISH -- Police say several pieces of lawn care equipment were stolen from a building used to store Cemetery Department equipment during the off-season.

Know as the "Hearse House," the small white garage is located on Townhouse Road.

Police said forced entry was gained to the building sometime between Nov. 29 and Saturday and several items used in the upkeep of the cemetery were stolen.

Anyone with information about the theft, or who may have seen a suspicious vehicle parked near the building, is asked to contact Cornish police, either by calling (603) 543-0535 or through Cornish.Police@Comcast.net.
