BENNINGTON - A Windsor man was seriously injured in a collision between a pickup and a logging truck on Route 202 Wednesday morning.
Police responded to the scene around 6:30 a.m., Police Chief Steve Campbell said in a press release.
The crash is still under investigation, but right now police believe Christopher Davies, 32, of Windsor, was driving a 2003 Ford F250 truck south on Route 202 when the Ford drifted from the southbound lane and into the northbound lane where it hit a 1998 West Star logging truck, driven by William Kimball Jr., 41, of Bennington.
"There is no information at the moment which gives a reason why Davies might have drifted from his lane. However, the road conditions at the time were slick due to recent snow," Campbell wrote.
Davies was taken by Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team(DHART)helicopter to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon in serious condition.
Hillsborough and Antrim police assisted Bennington responders at the scene.
