Volunteers needed for SAU19 superintendent search in Goffstown, New Boston
So far, only one parent from Goffstown has volunteered to participate, and the deadline to file a letter of interest is Tuesday.
“If need be, because this is so critical, we’ll have to go back to the drawing board. We were hoping to pick participants at the school boards’ meetings. We are hopeful we’ll get more volunteers to sign up, if not the committee will have to get together and see what the next step will be,” said Magrath, SAU 19 human resources director,.
“The New Hampshire School Board Association is assisting in much of the process, so they’ll be handling the focus groups,” said Magrath. “So, if people don’t want to be on the committee, they can have their voices heard on the focus groups.”
“We put the names on a sheet of paper and put them into a hat, so people are aware that names only go into the pool once. We want to be as transparent as possible in the process,” said Mcgrath.
Those interested in volunteering for the SAU 19 Superintendent Search Committee must submit a letter of interest, with the following information: Why do you want to be on the Superintendent Search Committee? For parents: What schools are your children attending? For New Boston/Goffstown staff: What is your position? How long have you worked for an SAU 19 school?
Letters of interest must be received by Magrath, via email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line of “SSC Volunteer” or by postal mail at Attn: Superintendent Search Committee Volunteers, c/o SAU 19 Human Resources, 11 School St., Goffstown 03045.
