Three to be arraigned after three-hour search in Northwood

NORTHWOOD – Three people are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Rockingham County Superior Court after state and local police conducted an extensive search in the Harvey Lake area Friday, including using a helicopter and police K-9 teams.

The three were arrested Friday on a variety of charges. During a routine patrol, an officer spotted a vehicle registered to Cory M. Deshong, 24, of 5 Jan Lane, Newmarket, who was wanted for a felony domestic violence case in Newmarket. The officer spotted the vehicle outside 160 Blake's Hill Road Friday around 12:30 p.m., according to police.

After entering the home, police said they found Deshong and two other people - Scott Tierney, 24, of 160 Blake's Hill Road, and Elizabeth Tierney, 27, of 150 Blake's Hill Road.
Police said Elizabeth Tierney interfered with officers, giving the two men time to flee into the nearby woods. Officers quickly found and arrested Scott Tierney, but Deshong escaped into the nearby woods.
State police K-9 teams and a helicopter, as well as deputies from the Rockingham County Sheriff and officers from Deerfield, Epsom and Nottingham, searched between the home and Harvey Lake, according to police.

Deshong was eventually located and apprehended around 3:15 p.m.
All three were sent to Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood, where they will be held pending their arraignment today, according to police.

Elizabeth Tierney was charged with hindering apprehension, criminal mischief, simple assault and resisting arrest. Scott Tierney was charged with resisting arrest, simple assault, criminal mischief, and possession of a controlled drug. It was unclear what charges Deshong faces, according to police.
