Vehicle stops in Manchester yield 3 drug arrests

MANCHESTER — Two unrelated vehicle stops about 45 minutes apart led to three Manchester people being charged with drug possession Thursday night, police said.

Richard Russell, 49, was stopped in the area of Maple and Silver streets about 9 p.m. for alleged lane and equipment violations, police said. He also had two Oxycodone pills in his possession, police said.

At 9:45 p.m., Damir Topic, 27, and Melissa Trillo, 33, were pulled over after being "engaged in suspected drug activity" near Pine and High streets, police said. They allegedly had a small amount of heroin with them.
