Receptionist at Goffstown vet's office charged with stealing $30,000

GOFFSTOWN - The receptionist at the Glen Lake Animal Hospital has been charged with embezzling more than $30,000 from her employer, police said Monday.
Melissa A. Huszarski, 31, of 221 Snook Road, Goffstown, was arrested on a felony theft charge after allegedly altering veterinary records of pets and stealing cash transactions, police said.
She had worked at the practice since 2007, and the alleged thefts went as far back as 2008, said police Capt. Robert Browne.
Browne said Huszarski would receive cash payments for the veterinarian treatments, then later allegedly alter a pet's veterinary record to cover the tracks of the alleged thefts. He said police continue to investigate the thefts, but it appears that they only involved cash transactions.
Huszarski is being held at the Valley Street jail on $15,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning in Goffstown District Court.
