Men's Hockey: DeSmith posts shutout as Wildcats sweep Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Junior netminder Casey DeSmith of Rochester posted a 32-save shutout as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team blanked Colorado College, 3-0 Saturday night at World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Senior Kevin Goumas had three points on two goals and an assist while classmate Nick Sorkin had a goal and two assists.

DeSmith posted a 30-plus save effort for the second straight night as he made 31 in Friday night's contest. The shutout improves his record to 7-5-0.

UNH improved to 9-7-1 with the win.

The Wildcats are back in action next weekend with a home-and-home series against Hockey East foe Boston College. The first game will be held at Boston College on Friday, while the 'Cats return home for the second game on Saturday. Both games are set for 7 p.m.
