Men's Hockey: UNH rallies past Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Four different players scored for the University of New Hampshire in a 2:41 span of the third period, turning a close game into a 6-2 rout of host Colorado College on Friday night.

Tied 2-2 entering the third period, Grayson Downing gave UNH the lead at the 12:55 mark. Forty-two seconds later, Nick Sorkin added some insurance with his second goal of the game, and Jeff Silengo and Dalton Speelman joined the fray within the next two minutes to account for the final score.

Sorkin started the scoring almost six minutes into the game. The Tigers then tied it and took the lead with goals from Archie Skalbeck and Sam Rothstein within a 1:31 span of the second period.

Kyle Smith then tied it at 2-all with 2:05 left in the second period.

Trevor van Riemsdyk added two assists for UNH. Rochester's Casey DeSmith had 31 saves in the win.

The two teams meet again Saturday night at 9 p.m.
