Manchester, Derry road races draw more than 3,600 trotters

The two largest of New Hampshire's 16 Thanksgiving Day footraces had more than 3,600 official finishers Thursday.

In Manchester, 2,369 crossed the finish line at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in the Fisher Cats Thanksgiving 5K. Seth Tucker, 27, of Bluffton, S.C., led the men's field in 16 minutes 4 seconds, and Christine Shaw, 28, of Manchester, was the first female finisher, in 17:20.

In Derry, the 40th annual Greater Derry Track Club Turkey Trot drew 1,248 finishers, led by town resident Peter Najem, 27, with a time of 15:58.

Amy Bernard, 35, of Chester, led the women's field in 18:50.
