Wright Museum in Wolfeboro to preserve Walter Healy's story
The donations from the Argeriou family will enable the museum to preserve for future generations original photos taken by Healy during the war, together with original copies of the "The Mock-up," a weekly news and training publication that Healy created and edited before he was assigned to amphibious operations in the Pacific.
His career as a newspaperman spanned more than 46 years with the Manchester Union Leader. He was city editor of the newspaper for 25 years. He was retired for many years prior to his death in 1996.
