Five NH companies receive grants for employee training

CONCORD — Five New Hampshire companies will receive job training grants to help them train 125 workers in new skills, Gov. Maggie Hassan announced Wednesday.

The job training grants total $72,536. The five companies contributed matching funds, bringing the total funds for training workers to $145,073.

Relyco Sales Inc. of Dover will receive a grant of $25,700 for Sandler Sales Training of Manchester to train 17 employees in sales.

Phase 2 Medical Manufacturing of Rochester will be awarded a Job Training Fund grant of $32,634 for training 67 employees using six different training providers — Great Bay Community College, New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NHMEP), Southern New Hampshire University, Eptac, Training Interactive and Greenlight Consulting — in a variety of courses.

A grant of $4,425 will be awarded to D.D. Bean & Sons Company of Jaffrey for training up to 20 employees in lean process manufacturing by NHMEP.

Collins Home Innovations Corp. will receive a $5,739.50 grant for Cultural Chemistry and SkillSoft Training to train up to 11 employees in employee management and cultural diversity skills.

NH Auto Dealers Services Inc. will receive a grant of $4,035 for training 10 employees in automotive services at Lakes Region Community College.
